BreakFree Louvres
The architect for this recently completed hotel refurbishment in central Christchurch came up with a fantastic concept! Two-tone vertical louvres that change the appearance of the building depending on the direction it is viewed from!
Insol was the natural choice of solution provider…
We came up with a custom design for a two part louvre. Each part is powder coated in it’s respective colour and the two parts fitted together. The fit is so neat that it is almost impossible to tell that it is two separate parts.
The challenge was in designing a profile that would handle the spans required but had a joint through the axis that was resisting the deflection. As always Insol rose to the occasion with spectacular results!
